Mind-Blowing: Number Of Virtual Sims Exceeds Earth’s Population

The number of Sims in the world is staggering, reaching a whopping 8.4 billion and surpassing the number of inhabitants on the planet. In addition, mobile broadband subscriptions have soared to over seven billion, providing access to the Internet, online services, and apps.
These findings were disclosed in Ericsson’s Mobility Report update, which was released a few days before the start of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The trade show, which has been held since 1985 and has been located in the Spanish city since 2006, has shifted its focus in recent years due to separate events hosted by big players like Apple and Samsung.
This year, however, companies such as Xiaomi, Honor, ZTE, Realme, OnePlus, Oppo, Nokia, Motorola, Sony, Lenovo, and Qualcomm are taking the stage to showcase their latest innovations, including foldable smartphones.
With the market in crisis, the industry is banking on these new proposals to revive sales. According to IDC, shipments fell by 11.3% in 2022, with even worse results, -18.3%, in the third and fourth quarters, precisely when the sector should have received a boost from Black Friday and Christmas shopping.
